Faith and Tim
Faith sang close to 11 songs NONSTOP and Tim sang at least as many. Then they sang about 6 duets. There was no intermission and very few breaks - it was just back to back music. Even if you are not a country music fan you still have to be awed by the voice of Faith - she is truly a very beautiful and powerful singer. I'm not a huge C&W fan but I do like Faith and Tim. Such a great time and great seats. I thought about taking my camera in but even w/my zoom on I don't think I'd have gotten any shots worth sharing. There was just too much lighting going and those concert photos just never turn out the way you hope they will. So...I got link from Oprah.

CLICK!
Click Click
JW has found the remote! This child grabs the remote at any given chance and starts "clicking" away. Annoys his brother to no end b/c he often changes the cartoon that JT was watching and then the annoyance ensues. Happen to catch JW on our bed (which he climbed up onto by himself) working the remote over pretty good a few days ago.

Sorry for the lack of posts - promise to get something up when I can get some photos uploaded.

Lonely
Yesterday I adopted out the female pup, Sweetheart, to a nice young guy from Memphis. I'm so excited to have found a home for one of the pups but Dexter (the male puppy) is so SAD. He is so lonesome it's just hard to watch. Last night I put him in the laundry room in his usual spot around 9pm and he cried. Then he woke me up at 1:30am crying and barking. I checked on him and he was fine just lonely. Then he woke up at 5am and barked and cried till hubs got up at 7am. Poor guy - he misses his sisters. My two big dogs don't mind him but they won't wrestle and play w/him like the other pups did. He was out on the deck bigger part of the morning and he's been moping around. I am however proud that when I let him in the house this afternoon he went back to his spot in the laundry room and tinkled on the paper instead of just using the floor. I brought down a big stuffed Tigger from the boys toybox and he has snuggled up to it for a long nap this afternoon. Maybe Tigger will help comfort him tonight so I don't have to wake up to all that howling again! Please spead the word that Dex needs a home soon! He needs a buddy big time!

Splish Splash
These photos were taken by my MIL, Sherry about two weeks ago when we all went to the pool. I never get to take pics when I'm at the pool by myself w/the boys b/c I'm always having to keep a close eye on the two of them. If I want to take pics of JT then I can't leave JW alone and vice versa - so my MIL brought her camera one day and she & I both, got some great shots. I especially love the one of JT with the big grin on his face while he's jumping off the side.
The pool makes for the best photos - it's blue background always does wonders for a little photo session!

Back from Dallas
We had such a good time in Dallas!
We didn't leave AR until late on Sat so we didn't get to Dallas till after midnight but it was worth it b/c the boys were wonderful in the car and we made good time traveling at night.
We had such a good time visiting, and swimming, and just hanging loose. It was great to not have to hear the cell phone ring, or feel like you needed to check email, or feel obligated to do household chores. It was so nice to just relax. JT did nothing but follow Paps around 24/7 while we were there. JT thinks that Paps rules the world!
On Sunday hubby and I went shopping and took JW with us while JT and Paps spent the day together playing golf and eating at McDonalds and working in the yard.
We also got to see, for the first time, Baby Travis! He is such a little man! What a baby - so funny and so sweet and just a cutie pie. Gigi fixed some curtains for us while we were there and so I have got to buy some rods to hang them up - we are so excited to have some window treatments for our dining room and our master bath, now! A big Thanks Gigi and please tell Geneva thanks as well.
Can't wait to go back and see them again - perhaps we'll wait til it's a little cooler next time, though. 104F is pretty darn hot no matter what you're doing.

Going to see Paps and GiGi
Today we'll be heading out to Dallas to see Paps and Gigi - otherwise know as Jack and Gwen. (My Uncle and Aunt). We are also going to see my cousin Lindsay and husband Gavin and their darling new baby boy Travis. Travis is 4 months old already and this will be the first time we've seen him in person. JT is SO excited to see everyone - it's been a few months since their last visit and so he is PUMPED about getting to go to their house for a visit. The whole family will be headed out tonight after Hubby gets off work. We've even bought one of those new little DVD players for the car for the trip and JT is stoked about being able to watch a video while traveling. Let's just hope that both of the boys will have a good trip b/c it'll take us about 5 hrs to get there tonight! Paps and GiGi here we come!

Swimmin'
A little bit of swimmin' fun at our little neighborhood "country club." The pool we belong to is called a country club, but really it's more of a housing community built around a golf course and a pool. I think the "club" has been there about 30yrs and then the houses came later. We joined the pool for the summer and have been going nearly every day. When the weather is 85F when you step outside at 7am you know it's a pool kinda day. We've made some new friends and the boys have such a good time - it was well worth the money we paid to join. Even little JW has a good time floating around in the baby pool. Sorry no photos of JW - it's kinda hard to watch him to make sure he's not drowning and take photos of him at the same time. I managed to snap these of JT while my MIL was with us one day.
JT tends to go back and forth between the baby pool and the big pool depending on what the "big boys" are doing. He however has to have his floties on at all times, especially, if he is playing in the big pool.
I remember going to the pool every day w/my parents and sister back when I was young and remember how much fun it was. My Dad loved to swim and dive and would spend many evenings after work or weekends at the pool with us tossing us high into the air or launching us like rockets out of the palms of his hands. He also taught us how to dive and do flips off the diving board as we got older. I am hoping this little bit of summer fun will turn into some amazing memories for our boys as well.

Lil' Monkey
JW is quite the little monkey these days. He has taken to climbing EVERYTHING in our house. Just this morning hubby & I were in the kitchen cheffin' up a big breakfast and I go in the living room to check on JW, and he is sitting on top of the sofa table! Guess he climbed onto the couch and then over the back and onto the table - he was quite proud of himself - just beaming. Last week he climbed into a chair in the living room and then up onto a pretty tall round decorator table. He just pushed off all the picture frames on it to make room for himself and sat up there clapping his hands, all happy for himself.
Any time the baby gate at the bottom of the stairs is accidentally left down he somehow senses it and heads straight for the stairs & will start to climbing. (I think he secretly checks everytime he walks by to see if it's down.) As soon as I hear him, and run to get him he starts squealing and tries to climb even faster so I can't catch him - little toot! The photos at the top are of him climbing our step ladder while we were moving some furniture around a couple of weeks ago. He saw the ladder and instantly was drawn to it and had made it to the top in no time - hand clapping and laughing the whole time too!

Fabulous Fireworks
Fireworks on the Fourth and a little Family Fun!
This year for the first time JT got to help with the fireworks and was not afraid of them. Dad bought a small package instead of his usual $150 overboard display. Normally we have a huge over the top display but this year it was just us and "Jamma" so we kept it low key. JT had a ball getting to hold his own sparkler for the first time this year. JW was fast asleep and missed the whole thing but that was okay with him.
All went well although we did learn a small lesson. Next year JT will be wearing jeans with his boots. Shorts and open top boots don't mix with sparklers. One of the sparks fell down into his boot and stayed trapped and singed the top of his foot. No damage - not even a red spot or anything but it did hurt pretty bad at the time. He appears fine this morning - no damage done, thank goodness.
Hope all had a safe and happy 4th this year!

Good Clean Fun
A Little Sprinkler Fun
JT wanted to hook up the wiggle sprinkler that Paps and Gigi gave him, so we did. What fun - it was a miserably hot day yesterday and so the boys had a blast getting wet and running around outside. I didn't even bother to put a swimsuit on JW - I just let him loose in his clothes and shoes - he didn't care one bit. They had a ball and I took about a hundred pictures b/c the colors were just so great and it just looked like such a good time. JW actually had more fun climbing up and down the stairs off the deck than he did running in the sprinkler but that was okay too! After about an hour I finally made them come in and dry off and have a bath to wash off all the mud and grass they had stuck all over them, and then it was off for a nap. Boy did they nap - each of em slept close to 3 hours yesterday afternoon! Yahoo!
Happy 4th to everyone today - enjoy your day off if you get one. Hubby is of course having to work but the boys and I are headed over to my Mom's house for a little "fresh from the garden" lunch w/her and Deedie and El!
